How much was it if you don't mind me asking? Just paid 1250 for a SaxoVTS myself and was looking at these
Click on OP's profile. Then garage
Very nice, looks so good.
Probably over the odds, but who cares - you are only young *cough* once.
Always wanted one when I was a kid.

Jealous!
How is the red doing? Has it started to fade to a pinkish colour yet?
Lucky bugger either way!
When I got it the roof and bonnet were fading slightly. A weekends polishing has made it look a lot better. Going to get a paint correction job on it once I get two dents taken out.How is the red doing? Has it started to fade to a pinkish colour yet?

Love the GTI'S, Their a modern day classic and still turn heads.
Look after it mate it's a gem of a car, and loads of fun.
It really does turn heads, I've had a few people comment on it already and a few thumbs up while driving!Look after it mate it's a gem of a car, and loads of fun.
I've a mechanic that is very easy to pay to labour isn't a issue and replacement parts seem to be inexpensive - I'm changing the brake master cylinder, £35.
This was an era when the fancy stuff that made a car complicated and expensive hadn't been invented or added to many cars, Hence the ease of DIY servicing and mods, it also makes the car more fun and edgy to drive.
Some nice examples are the 205 GTI, the williams, Astra GSI,Golf gti mk1/2 ETC ETC.

Had one just like that new. Always thought it was gorgeous at the time and I loved it.
I have had a lot of fabulous kit over the years but that little Peugeot is still one of my absolute favourites.
Got married when I had it and my "mates" sabotaged it, somehow getting rice in the vents which rattled away quietly until the day I sold it and probably ever since
