I left a very, very dirty Porsche outside Halfords Beverley in my quest for Mobil 1 a few weeks ago.

I found (quite funny I thought) a card for Mercury Detailing on the car when I got back. Like a sort of "Samaritans - we're here to help" message.

Given it's definitely wax it for winter time - anyone used Mercury?

Presuming you live in the area (Beverley): do you have a private number? If so, I think I've seen your car about thumbup

Thanks Richs - another option.

Al - I'm Beverley, but standard 04 plate, black Carrera 4S. Well, kinda off-black most of the time. My friend and I like to do it dirty down back lanes.

+1 for Ady at deep shine detail, he's done one of my cars and passed his details on to some friends, amazing results and very competitive price

My drive isn't big enough for car + detailer and isn't covered. And Lincoln is a long way.

He must be good though. So maybe worth a trip.

In this area i would suggest Richard Hutchins from crystal Clean. He used to do all our cars to a very very good standard. Until i got into it, he's won loads of awards and is also an approved reseller of dodo juice.

Thanks for the extra ideas guys.

Just done insurance search for 2011, MOT, new tyres, couple of dinks - just need to get the old girl to scrub up nicely before it snows.

Hi there, Matthew from Mercury Detailing did my Focus RS500 and I was well chuffed with the job he did. Very reasonable prices too and he spent a good 12 hours on it...(I dont think he knew what he was letting himself in for with the 3M wrap). I would recommend him.

Hi

Yes, that was me. Always make sure I have a supply of business cards on hand for whenever I see something looking like it would like a bit of TLC.

Cant comment on the other detailers listed in the reply's as other than Glynn at Elite I don't know any of them. Glynn is an authorised Swissvax Detailer like myself.

I can however vouch for my own work and can assure you of the highest possible standards using only the finest quality products.

I am currently in the process of moving into a new unit which is being converted into a detailing studio to greater enhance the clients experience when having any of my treatments for their car.

Pop by for a chat anytime and i'll quickly convince you of my passion for what I do and my drive for perfection.

Cheers

Matt

P.S Thanks Bickers49 glad you liked the job on yours. It is still on my site and attracts a lot of interest

So as to not fall foul of any advertising rules can we leave it at this please.

Obviously, any genuine recommendations are fine and, if you are good, I am sure we will see your name praised on here as a result smile

Glyn at Elite definately gets my vote, been using him for about 5 years now on my NSX, he now also does my Gallardo, as previously stated he's a Swissvax detailer, but heavily into his Porches where he cut his teeth.
Recomended!!!

Had the 430 done Al, finished last night, gotta bit of a shine now...

No point doing the GT2, I'd have to have Mercury round after every track day, wouldn't be any paint left....
