Omega Speedmaster 1969
Discussion
I'm after a Omega Speedmaster 1969 (as title) either pre or post moon landing.
I've seen a few but the jewellers I've seen must think I've just arrived from the moon, does anyone know what a fair price for one of these should be, in say excelent condition, jewellers obviously have there own agenda. Not that I would consider it but the ones on ebay seem to be sold by people wearing floppy feet and red noses.
I'm also interested in what to look for in a good one, I've seen some really bad ones.

The last 1969 I saw for private sale went for a give away £1,350 - Hope you can see the link.

The watch had no box, papers or service receipts.
Pre-moon is normally more expensive £2k to £4k depending on provenance, condition & the exact model.
What are the dealers asking - circa £3k for a loose 1969 Moon watch?
Bricks & mortar, staff, servicing the watch & putting a warranty on it, plus the need to make a profit doesn't come for free.
If you want to pay the lowest price and you're brave enough, then buying through the established watch forums is the way to go. Lots of us do it.
Here are a couple of good on-line info sources
