jumping up and down. You should see a doctor Jigs if yours are that colour. WTF do you eat? (apart from your own foot on occasions)

Shnozz, thinking of joining the Tuscan crowd? I told you the bill for new trousers would offset the initial expense!www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=8&h=&t=75069

Well I still love the chim, and still not convinced on the SP6

Keep an open mind on the speed 6 Shnozz. As time goes by you hear of fewer and fewer problems.
Have you driven a Tuscan in anger? It is a totally different experience to the Chimaera. I loved my Chimaera also (apart from the trouser trouble!), but would never go back.

I am not convinced its the car for me still. Would dearly love one but I would be doing it on a bit of a shoestring and the SP6 just doesnt seem the right car to do that with. I am not concerned by the additional servicing costs or bits and bobs, just that if it went pop it would be a hefty loan to get it repaired and that I cannot afford or indeed justify. maybe at one stage in the future I will look again. For the moment, and whilst its just me paying a hefty mortgage for the joys of living in the SE I guess it will have to remain a distant dream.
Fair enough, some logical thinking there. I was in a similar situation (big mortgage, already got a "bullet proof" Chimaera, running it every day without a hitch), then I see the Tuscan, it is beautiful from every angle, sounds like a roar from hell, and snaps your neck when accelerating. I knew there had been problems with some earlier cars, I knew they could cost you an arm and a leg if things went wrong, but I also new you would never get a car with the performance and looks for much less than £50,000 elsewhere.
With me I am afraid my heart does tend to rule when dealing with cars, but I have never really regretted it much.
BTW, if we are ever at a "meet" at the same time, you can have a go in the Tuscan (I assure you it will put a massive grin on your face).

chim450 - I am not too dissimilar in that my heart often rules when it comes to cars. I wasnt planning on swapping the S3 for the Chim until I moved house and thought "why am I putting all the equity into the deposit" so p/xed the S for the current puppy. Even with the second car I thought a nice little rover 600 with a honda engine would be a cheap to run option. So I went and bought the Turbo with a Rover engine
thanks kindly for the offer, which I will take you up on at the next meet we both attend. I better forewarn the lenders that some more equity will be passing in my direction before I go mind you.

jigs, you know one day the thrill of the griff will wear off and you'll want a Tuscan.
A lot of people are gonna be waiting with the proverbial rotten egg of humour to pelt you with.

It's not a matter of the Griffith's appeal wearing of - I'm in the market for another car to add to the stable - probably a 993 - I need to make sure the Tuscan voodoo attraction doesn't distract me from making the sensible choice. All this Speed Six negative posting is as much to remind myself as to convince others not to make a costly mistake!

I Let's just say that I decided to have something different.
yeah i can see from your profile - the spec that everyone else went for after watching Swordfish![]()
OK smartypants, different than the turd looking colour. It really, to my eyes, looked hideous - even worse in the flesh.
And if you really want to know, I chose the colour as I thought it looked good on Top Gear - Tiff Needles reviewed the car - he was in one of the factory demonstrators. I was particularly gobsmacked by one shot of the car going round a bend and the car changed from blue to green! I thought it was amazing. I normally buy red cars, and I spent all night worrying about speccing Chameleon Blue versus a red variant. This was all before the Swordfish film. Anyway, I haven't got the stained leather "Swordfish" interior.
Cheers,
Andy.
P.S. Who said Tuscan owners buy the cars for the looks rather how they handle ?

Oi jigs, why don't you dive into the Cerbera forum - there's some really tasty speed 6 action going on in there - talk lawyers and everything (in a public forum

No - stretched closed Chimaeras with or without Speed Sixes don't do it for me at all - they even had one of those on Emmerdale Farm - what an image howler!
The enigmatic Tuscan with the paradox of great looks with suspect character that is irresistable - like Footballers' Wives I suppose!
