I just got this:

" Dear Mr xxxxx,

I am writing to remind you to take extra care to look out for motorcycles when turning across bus lanes.

This is because motorcycles can use most bus lanes on London's Red Routes for a new trial period ending 23 January 2012.

For more information please visit tfl.gov.uk/motorcyclesinbuslanes

Yours sincerely,

Ben Plowden
Director Better Routes and Places"

It has started in Jan 2009 FFS!!!

What's next in the world of H&S? Reminder to stop at the traffic lights?

TfL suggest it started 3 months ago, seems like a timely reminder to me.

ETA Although now I actually read it...

blurb said:
A trial of the Mayor’s Motorcycles in Bus Lanes Scheme was conducted from 5th January 2009 and ended on 5th July 2010.
Following the results of this trial, the Mayor decided to undertake a new 18 month experimental scheme which involves allowing motorcyclists access to the majority of TLRN bus lanes alongside a targeted programme of speed enforcement and road safety awareness for road users across London, with particular reference to bus lanes.
Stakeholders and the public were made aware of the Mayor’s decision on 16th June 2010. The new experimental scheme commenced on 24th July 2010.

Dear TfL,

Pleas4e remind your bus drivers that cyclists are allowed to use bus lanes and traffic lights and pelican crossings also apply to them.
