Verandah, Wickham Square. Walk right past Kuti's (distinctly average) Verandah is on the right hand side at the back of the square.
Purbani, Botley.

Verandah - the old Clarkes I believe?

Not tried it - thanks. Botley may be a bit too far I think, want to keep Hayling side of Fareham if poss.

Cheers.

I understand your concerns re Botley. It is a fairly small restaurant too, its only failing IMHO. Veranda is the old Clarks. Not quite sure why I've been speeeeeling it with an H, possibly too many good nights there!

Good luck in whatever you decide!

Can't help you with a Curry house, but if a Chinese is in the mix too I can recommend the Water Margin buffet in Gunwharf next to the tower. I can't get enough of the food there. All you can eat too!

But I realise that's probably less use to you than writing 'Avon - the company for women' in your thread biggrin

If you can manage to get to Emsworth I would recommend "Spice Village" in the square - lovely food, but don't go if you're in rush, service at the same pace as evolution...

Been there. It's good. But I have the best Chinese I know about a mile from my house smile

Emsworth is worth a look, thanks. Avoiding Clanfield as too close to work colleagues and could do without bumping in to them smile

Have heard it is fab though.

Naz makes some of the best curries I've tasted in the UK. Get the Naz special chicken :-)

Nope Tusk is a curry place, its the one up the other end next to Wetherspoons, was just about to recommend Naz, always get a good curry, quite fast service too, and if you're a keen golfer can have a good chat with the owner too.

It's called The Delightful, it's in West Town on Hayling Island. Surroundings are not the most classy, but the food is superb, your usual Chinese stuff but excellently done. I would always recommend it.

The Mowchak in Drayton is usually a safe bet. Or Memories of India in Bosham but pricier than average.

Our local is the Shalimar along hambledon parade waterlooville, very good food and service. Near to you by the sounds. If you want to go its best to book a table. The boss is called Eric and will look after you well, if you do choose to go there mention Dave and Hannah from X L Lifts recommended you good luck on the quiet night in smile
