I really rate him as a driver I think he has what it takes to be the best if he has the car under him. Always comes across a nice guy .

Bobby K, up there for driver of the year in my eyes.
Did not really rate him in hte past (despite his strong placings), but this year, whoever if in front of him (Red Bull, or Lewis in the Mac), I have always thought Bobby K will get them some way or another.
Hope he and Renault succeed next year.

Despite his looks, there's is something very cool about him. Would hate to play him at poker...there just doesn't appear to be any edge to him, that you could possibly dislike? He's never cocky, arrogent, controversial...just gets his head down, does the job and does it very well.
It's funny, if you ask anyone to name their top 5 great F1 drivers ever I'd imagine most of the time all 5 will be filled with world champions. Very rarely would someone rate a non-world champion, as one of F1's best. So for people to even be considering Kubica, is an almighty achievement for him - and there's a lot of evidence to prove he may just be right.
Stick him alongside an Alonso or a Hamilton first though. Heidfeld managed to get the better of him occasionally, often matching him for speed and race craft. Petrov has shown glimmers, but I believe he'll remain a paying driver at best.

the thing i like about kubica is that he just wants to drive and race, he doesn't give a stuff about the media and the glamour that comes with F1, and he's a much funnier and personable guy than how he comes across in interviews.
i thought early on his only downfall was ability to overtake effectively but he seems to be improving into easily one of the top drivers. having said that, by the same measure this shows how under-rated heidfeld is as far as i'm concerned.

After his horrific crash a few years back i thought he was done for, he's even faster in the races that followed. I met Kubica in 2005 at Donington when he was in WSR and found him to be a cracking bloke, he seemed genuinely pleased that I was hanging around at the back of his garage just to say hello. Even back then you could see what a great driver he was and I stand by my prediction that it's not a case of if he wins the F1 world championship but how many times.
I remember during that season there was much excitement because Scott Speed was going to enter the championship about half way through and there was lots of talk about how he would be a real challenge for Kubica and could scupper his championship hopes. It didn't quite pan out like that though.

I think when he receives a car with even a hint of race winning capacity he will nail it.
He's proving to Renault that they can deliver great result's with the car in his hand's
and with the team's shambles with Briatore and piquet jr there is a nice future ahead without all the baggage.
I think he's great at getting performance out of a car, whatever it may be, f1 or rally
which is a great indicator for a future champion.
It was a great moment for me when he won 2008 Canada after His Big crash the year before.

I think the exact words were "extremely aggressive and hardest to overtake"?He's come a long way from getting sniped by his detractors from his early days in BMW. There is still a lot of criticism and doubt at the moment because Petrov isn't shaping up as a proper rival in the same machinery. He's definitely one of the best though.
