Anyone uprated their pads e90 330d pads on the front. The disks and pads were changed on the car prior to buying it and I think the pads are rubbish. I dont want to fit OE as I find BMW pads to have less initial bite. I run Axxis Ultimate on my M5 and the difference was massive from OE but they don't do them in for the 330d.

Is it necessary to inform the insurer?

No need to inform them if they're simply aftermarket pads. EBC Yellowstuff seem to be getting better reviews again recently.

Cheers Paul. I spoke with the insurance company this morning and they were fine with the change. A couple of people have recommended EBC mainly because there are few alternatives out there for a 330. Pagid seem to only do their 19 range in the size and this is very expensive, noisy(£300!) and dusty.
