Just reading reports that Rooney has told SAF that he wants to leave, question is, where would he go???

Madrid?
Chelsea?
Man City, surely not?
QPR, yes that's the one smile

Is someone a bad influence on him there?

Wonder if he's been told to leave or else by the mrs.

My thoughts are that since his little mishap with a lady of the night he will want to get out of the country, so my only thought would be Real Madrid or Barcelona?

Apparently his Mrs has veto'd any move abroad due to her sister being long-term sick. Which is believable.

Chelsea? Can't see him moving down south
Liverpool/Arsenal/Spurs all couldn't afford him.

I can't see even Rooney having the balls to go to City but one can't help but wonder where else he could go.

I still think it's all being stirred up by his agent to try and get Utd to improve their contract offer.

I'm not even sure who will want him, maybe Man City may just go for him, maybe it has come about to try and get United to give him a better contract offer, sad to say and although I don't support Utd, I do like watching them but they seem to be going downhill quite rapidly and along with their huge debts I think they're in for a rough ride.

Lovely young man.

According to a daily publication festooned with a better than average quotient of mammary content (so it must be accurate) it appears that Lord Shrekheart will be remunerated to the tune of five hundred bags per week by his new handlers.

A geezer who claims to know a geezer wot knows stuff alleges our noble goal machine is openly declaring an ambivelence to his current employ in the dressing room and may well walk over the road.

According the the local Rabi, this tale amounts to an argument for communism. Oi, vey.

Chelsea seems like the sensible opton- He'll be lynched if he goes to city, and neither Barca or Real need him. Chelsea have some good strikers but ther all getting on abit.

Rooney will stay at United, his agent has seen a great chance to improve his worth.

A deal will be made, thats my opinion.

Can't see that happening after SAF has stated he's off.

No chance, I'm afraid.

So, if you were fortunate enough to get £40 mil, realistically, who would be you want to replace him? Benzema, different type of striker, erm, i can tthink of many candidates who are gonna be available.

Don't get me wrong, I don't care either way, I just don't see there being anywhere he would go.

SAF, I agree would sell him if the right offer came in as he has done in the past with the likes of Beckham and Ronaldo, but apart from City, who else would pay the sort of money that UTD would value him at.

I don't think even Rooney would play for City, would he??

SAF has said that the door remains open to him.

Normally, I'd agree with you. SAF usually lets players go who want to leave in the spirit of nobody's-bigger-than-the-club

But he tried to keep Ronaldo for ages until he realised that he was leaving whatever.

I can see the same with Rooney. Plus, as stated, Rooney's options are so limited unless he takes his life into his hands and joins City.

Barca need a striker like Rooney. Arguably, Real do even more so.

Both have the world's best midfielders but not the world's best front line.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but Tevez didn't.
