"A bit pants" would be a compliment for the C6...

Funny how I seem to have spoken to / read topics by: a few existing C5 owners that want to replace their C5s with, guess what, another C5! I haven't heard anyone over here say they're crazy about the C6 and can't wait to get one!

I keep thinking if that new Mustang actually looks like the concept they just won't be able to build enough of them.

There's one good thing about the C6: there's quite a network of Honda / Nissan / Toyota / Mazda dealers in this country that should be able to service them.

Shall I make it a bit more clear that I don't like the C6?

Malc - Funny that, I was just checking the Ford website, the 2005 Mustang, as seen in the recent shots, will hit the dealers this autumn.
I for one will be keeping a close eye on things, 'specially if the current exchange rate continues to prevail.

Never, it's only a concept.

I don't like the C6 either. Again, that's what galvanised me into looking for a C5. Odd though because when the C5 emerged, it was widely slagged for being too Japanese looking and having a huge butt, not helped by it's visual kinship to the RX7. Like anything, some designs have to mature.

The Mustang design is truly delightful but I do think they missed a key element of the 60's design in omitting those little ridges on the top of the front wings. I think it will stand the test of time though, unlike the Thunderbird.

I think the car looks ok. But it would look a lot better if the roof wasn't shaped like a bubble. A roof like that of a Pagani Zonda "could" look ok.

I for one love the C6's styling. Styling-for-styling wise, I prefer the looks of the C6 rather than the C5. Obviously, the C6 would be better in all other areas such as engine, aerodynamics, but if I could own a C5 or C6 based on the styling, I'd choose a C6. I'd love to own one and I love every aspect of the car, but I can't right now.

Anyone seen the Ford Mustang GT-R concept, then? Beautiful looking, all-out rice car.
