Seen these on a few ferraris now. To me one of the trade marks of a Ferrari has always been a chrome gate and chunky gear lever with chrome knob. In fact it's one of the first points of reference when creating a 'replica' hehe! So why oh why have Ferrari replaced it with a puny little effort not much bigger than a PS3 joy stick??? how do use it? with just your finger tips? Can't help but feel they're making a big mistake frown

It's for people who hold their teacup between their thumb and forefinger. Dainty and posh like.

The F1 style gearbox is on this car i.e. flappy paddles to change up and down the gears - the computer can do it far quicker than a human can... Surely you've seen this before?!?!?

No you see 911...you piss in the kettle in the passenger to change gear in modern ferrari's...the little gear stick is to summon a new kettle....

That's Verne Troyer's car- the gear leaver has been shrunk to fit his hands. If you were to look behind the seats you'd see his booster cushion and stilts he wears to reach the pedals.

Hope that's cleared it up for you.

If its any consolation, I too prefer ferraris with a proper gate and manual shift, none of this flappy paddle nonsense.
