This "putting the roof up with one arm" lark?

Left Hand, Reach over backwards (as if you are a girl about to through a Tennis Ball
) and slip your fingers under the Front rail (as opposed to the actual moulded handle), and in a swift action raise it.
Admittedly doing it at 50mph does strain the arm a little, but at standstill ?
TBH though it must be muscle memory thing - when U try to do it from the passenger seat with my right Arm, I struggle.
I do it like that, but have to get my elbow over the roll bar.

Sometimes the roof raises on a skew & jams about a third of the way up- makes me look like a right wimp

Just takes a bit of practice. However, it's a damn site harder with a rollbar. Nearly tore my arm off first time I tried it after fitting that.
So true. With the rollbar fitted I grab it with the left arm, bring it up to where it meets the bar and then switch to my right arm to complete.
Used to be able to do it fine just with my left arm but I preferred to swivel in the seat, grab it with both hands and pull up since it was much easier and just as quick/easy.

No rollbar, I preferred left. With rollbar obviously you can only use the right.
I use my left
ETA, Ahhh, I don't have a windbreak fitted
