My OH is currently driving around Southern Spain in a hired 118d. She's discovered that the headlights are staying on, even when they're switched off. This wouldn't be a problem except she's in Seville where headlights aren't allowed during the day. Does anyone know how to turn the lights off before she gets into trouble?

Go into the OBC and turn off daytime running lights.

Off the top of my head, put key in, press ignition button WITHOUT clutch pressed, so the ignition comes on but the car doesnt start. Now scroll through the OBC using the rocker on the indicator stalk, somewhere in there you'll find lighting and there should be a setting for something like daytime running lights. What it is in Spanich though I have absolutely no idea! good luck

Edit - just checked on my car as I knew the above wasnt quite right. Do as above with ignition, scroll down 2 (past "Check") and you'll see a key symbol with a tick. Press to select (the button on the end of the indicator stalk) then scroll down this menu, towards the bottom there's a menu item with a sunshine symbol and then a headlight symbol, with the word "on" or "off" next to it. Im assuming it will say on (or the Spanish equivalent) in which case press the end button to toggle it to off.
