MX5 Wales Hoon: Sunday 14th November
Discussion
OK gauging interest. Hopefully this will turn out correctly... just add your line below.
Big hoon round Wales which I am happy to organise if required, pick a date, I am cast iron busy on the No days I'm afraid.
Start in Chepstow and take in some of the country's finest twisties of which I am very familiar.

Route is of course flexible
It wouldn't take 7 hours anyway at ahem PH speeds. Could lob at least an hour off that. But it shows what kind of good roads are available
As you can see you don't have to go as far up as Newtown and lob off a fair few miles if required.
Johnny - you're complaining about mileage AND wanting to head to North Wales??
As I said - its like herding cats!

but would it be better to do a route of say 100 miles with 3 stops on the way? If we drive to much we wont have much time to chat!

I don't know what any of those roads are like, I'm sure they're just as good as the ones in North Wales.
And.. If we stay south/mid Wales it's closer for me..

OK.
Chepstow to Abergavenny 30 mins - massive carpark in Aber where bikes and cars meet for a cuppa/bacon butty etc.
Abergavenny to LLandovery - an hour and another cuppa stop at the roadside cafe.
Llandovery south to Brynamman via the infamous A4059/Evo hairpin and turn around to do it in reverseback up to Llandovery - another hour.
Llandovery to Brecon via Upper Chapel and the beautiful B4519/4520 - an hour.
There's loads of options and plenty of places to stop along the way.
