OK gauging interest. Hopefully this will turn out correctly... just add your line below.

Big hoon round Wales which I am happy to organise if required, pick a date, I am cast iron busy on the No days I'm afraid.

Start in Chepstow and take in some of the country's finest twisties of which I am very familiar.

Why? Can keep all the discussion about route in this thread then. It's how all the SW tunnel runs are organised smile

Excellent, looking forward to this.

We need to get a rough route made up and a few stopping places that are big enough for us, I estimate between 10-15 cars?

If we get this done we can then email everyone off the "MX5 Meeting Up" Wiki and see whos interested.

Route

A very good starter for 10. If you search PH for those road names then you'll see some cracking pics from loads of various hoons.

Looks like a good route.. Is there not more further up towards North Wales? I remember going out with my friend around Bala and it was brilliant.

Whats it like around 10am there? Round here its rammed by then hehe

Route is of course flexible hehe

It wouldn't take 7 hours anyway at ahem PH speeds. Could lob at least an hour off that. But it shows what kind of good roads are available smile

As you can see you don't have to go as far up as Newtown and lob off a fair few miles if required.

Johnny - you're complaining about mileage AND wanting to head to North Wales?? hehe

As I said - its like herding cats!

I'm happy to go with the crowd tbh...

but would it be better to do a route of say 100 miles with 3 stops on the way? If we drive to much we wont have much time to chat!

Oh no I'm more than fine with mileage? 200/300/400.. Whatever hehe

I don't know what any of those roads are like, I'm sure they're just as good as the ones in North Wales.

And.. If we stay south/mid Wales it's closer for me.. tongue out

OK.

Chepstow to Abergavenny 30 mins - massive carpark in Aber where bikes and cars meet for a cuppa/bacon butty etc.

Abergavenny to LLandovery - an hour and another cuppa stop at the roadside cafe.

Llandovery south to Brynamman via the infamous A4059/Evo hairpin and turn around to do it in reverseback up to Llandovery - another hour.

Llandovery to Brecon via Upper Chapel and the beautiful B4519/4520 - an hour.

There's loads of options and plenty of places to stop along the way.
