Just watching Casino Royal on DVD and noticed Richard Branson in the background!
Very prominent and intentional I reckon!

Who have you noticed in films?

I seem to recall seeing that. He is getting scanned going through security if I remember rightly, quite good I thought.

In the americanised (awful) version of the Italian Job, spiderman jumps infront of one of the minis as they enter the underground.

Mate of mine serving drinks to Cameron Diaz in Knight and Day.
Not famous really but still a cameo that surprised me

Did I see/read somewhere that this was cut from the version being shown on BA flights?

I believe Stephen King has appeared in a number of movie adaptations of his books.

In Quantum Of Solace the chairman of Sunseeker Yachts is ferrying Bond across the lake in a vintage Sunseeker, and the chairman of Aston Martin is one of the baddies having a conference at the opera. Seems the marketing boys have tapped into a rich seam of vanity cameo roles for bosses of companies paying fortunes for product placements!

Some of the above are just background work.

Stan Lee always has a cameo is the Marvel films. Usually good to try and spot. I enjoyed Lou Ferrigno's cameo in The Incredible Hulk.

If you are ever unlucky enough to see a film called 'Kannibal', don't bother to go past the intro, where you will see a fellow PH'er nailed to a wall and covered in blood! biggrin

Yeah, what's the line between "extra" and "cameo" I wonder.

Not me, cut and paste from somewhere else :

''I was an extra in the movie The Patriot and ran directly in front of Mel Gibson dressed in full colonial infantry costume complete with wig, rifle and haversack with a pair of fking oakley sunglasses on. There were armies marching in the distance and full calvary battalions in each take which had to be reset. We were on the 4th take and I just forgot to take them off. Each take was $10,000''

I would guess at either a line which makes it a walk on three, or a focus on a reaction to dialogue/situation where the aim is for the audience to recognise the cameo.

Jason Statham appears in Collateral, depending on who you believe it may actually have been a movie crossover with Statham appearing as Frank Martin from the Transporter.

senor spielbergo is a driver of a jeep during an early scene in back to the future.

branson was in friends too when they come to london and he's a souvenier seller - wasnt ginger fergie in that too?

worst cameo was schwarzenegger in expendables but he also had a cameo on welcome to the jungle - as the rock walks into the club he's walking out and says have fun. and his cameo in 40 days around the world with jackie chan was awful.

mark wahlberg on date night had a good cameo.
