The wheels on my Rangie are in desperate need of a refurb, and have not been 100% happy with the place who usually sort my tyres out, so am looking elsewhere.

I found a thread that BG started a few years back....

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

....does anyone know if this chap is still doing wheel refurbs, and if so, would he be ok recieving calls on the number listed in that thread?

Failing that, any other recommendations in the Derby/Nottingham area? (Derby preferred)

Meeja, my car is in today with these guys http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk

4 x full refurbs and a repaint into anthractite.

Did some research and have heard very good things about them. The owner even gave me a lift to work this morning as well. Picking the car up later today...so will see if the results are as expected.

Which branch are you going to? I'd be interested to hear about the results.

Nottingham. Lenton estate (just at the back of Showcase Cinemas behind Dusk till Dawn. One of my friend's has been previously and was delighted with the results.

I will let you know how I get on.

Mmm, I wonder who you're refering to there, Mr B wink

BTW, The Wheel Specialist's Head Office in Brum did the wheels on my wife's MX5, as well as my Atom. Great results boths times, so two thumbs up from me!

Picked up the car yesterday. Fantastic job on the wheels! Better than I expected in all fairness. Definitely recommend you drop them a line. If you do, mention that the chap with the Red RS4 referred you.....

Received a formal quote today... Can you PM me your name so I can make the referral more formal than 'the chap with the RS4"?!

I may pop and visit them to take a peek before formally confirming (plus the end of the month will be a better time than next week)

Thanks for the heads up
