Is it normal to have quite a bit of travel on the brake pedal, the brakes work fine but i do have to push the pedal about half way to get them to work, the other car which i drive (a Jade) has the same sort of brake set up yet has almost no travel on the pedal at all.The car has got new pads on the front and has had new fluid and all air bleed from the system, the only thing i have seen is that the groves have now gone from my front disc's,is this a problem?? Any idea's guys??
Many Thanks.
Chris.

So i guess the pedal should be hard then,as i know it's not air in the system as they have been bleed and have check for any fluid leaks what else could it be???
Thanks.
Chris.

Try changing the master cylinders. They have been known to go AWOL after new pads are fitted.

Hi all
If you bleed the brakes yourself, did you bleed
from corner to corner, and not from front to rear?
I cant see it being your Master Cyl's being the problem. What brake fluid are you using?

Anton

Thanks for the advice nildram, If i do change them i guess i will have to remove the crash box to get them in-out,it's just that it's on my list of things to do to re rivit it back on properly so would be best to replace them first. Are they a Radical only item or could i get them from any motor factors??
Thanks.
Chris.

HI Anton, when we bleed them we went from front to rear,we did get quite a bit of air out of them. The pedal did seem to be harder but doesnt really last, the brakes still work fine just the travel goes down a long way.The fluid i use is Silkolene Pro Race 2000.
Thanks.
Chris.
