Replacement for T350t

A very sad day is just around the corner. Due to a new arrival it looks like the T350 might have to go. Basically I wont be able to run it and put the money into the car to keep it at it's best. If I could keep it I definately would, but I don't want to run it on a shoe string. It's the best car I've owned and probably will own for a while.
I am now looking at what to swop it for that will give me a simular driving experience. As I will need a decent practical car as well from the money from the sale I will have about 16,000 to spend on the next toy. Top of the list at the minute is a Toyota engined Elise.
Thoughts and comments welcome.

A Toyota engined Elise is no cheap car/step down for whatever reason. Why not just say you fancy a change instead of this guff?
Edited to add: The depreciation on the Elise will exceed the additional running costs of the TVR, which is hardly depreciating now.

If you want cheaper running costs try a chim or a griff, much more simple mechanicals and electrics so cheaper and easier to service etc. Its hard to think of anything that will give the same thrills for a lower running cost except perhaps a Caterham or similar, Ginetta G20 or G27. Struggling to think of much else, but I am sure many will.

It's not "Guff", I don't fancy a change at all. But like I said I wont have the spare cash to put into the car.
I thought the Elise would be a cheaper car to run, ie cheaper servicing etc. That why I asked for comments and opinions. If you know different it would be nice to have the information.
I know the T350 isn't really depreciating and long term I would be better keeping it but it doesn't change the fact that it does take the money to maintain it to a proper standard.

Go for the Lotus, they're great cars, especially if TVRs have not got 'under your skin'.
As an ex-Elise owning Cerbera owner, I'd say the Lotus will cost you half as much as the TVR - that's before you consider the relative reliability merits of a Toyota drive train in an alloy tub v a hand built low volume engine, built on a shoestring and hung in a rust prone steel chassis.
Any standard T car won't see which way an Elise went over a challenging B road. It will certainly lack presence and grunt, but as a tool, with probably the best steering feedback ever, the Elise is fantastic.
I love my Cerb and genuinely think that it's a car that I'll keep for a close to forever as possible, however, I'm also a realist
