converting e36 back to smg !!

my m3 evo has been converted from smg to manual using smg box but without detent springs and its horrible to use. would it be more expensive and more hassle to convert back to smg or do you think i should have the detent springs fitted or just put an origional 6spd manual in?

want an easy quick fix what do you reckomend ???
