Omega buying concern.

I am looking at getting an Omega 2.6 Auto. Now the car is a good price £1450 51 plate with 66K on the clock and all the correct service history and cam belt changes etc.
Now a couple of things. The car has been stood for 3 months with it only being started to move it around the forecourt.
Usual checks show a load of Mayo in the Oil filler cap, but on the test drive and when Idling no white smoke.
Also the brakes don't feel to good, although it has just had an MOT.
Should I walk away or get it?

Depends, do you want to spend any money on it or are you looking for something that just works from the get go?
The brakes might be rubbish for a bit until the bed back in a bit or they could genuinely need some work.
Personally I dont know much about that particular engine but white doesnt sound good.
If it does turn out to be a HG issue do you have confidence in the garage you are buying it from to sort it properly?
Have you got an friendly mech or indy that could check it over for a small fee?

Mayo common (condensation) in these where there have been short trips, should clear up on a longer drive. If not, could be an issue. Check the dipstick rather than the oil cap though.

Have you checked the spark plug holes? Are they full of oil? If so, rocker gaskets gone, a pig of a job to sort, a bit less if you diy or a cheap mechanic.
There will always be a few issues when buying a cheap car, the fewer there are the better the buy of course.
