Shot myself in the foot here, bought a set of new winter tyres on the net and can't find anybody local to fit them - arrgh!

Tried Tawse in Inverurie, Donside in Alford and GT in Huntly. Anyone got any suggestions who might do it?

Cheers

Westhill Service Station. They can supply tyres at competitive rates but also happy to just do the fitting if you bring the tyres along.
Good guys, I use them a lot.

Thanks for the suggestions, all smile

The tyre places I spoke to first all said they would only fit tyres they had supplied, bit of a pain in the erse to be honest.

In the end, found out that a mate in town has a mate who works in a garage so he's doing it for some beer tokens. wink

I would have thought that the boys at JD in Insch would have a tyre fitting facility.

Nope, they get a mobile unit in to do the work.

I ordered tyres online for my Landrover, Tawse would not fit them as I had not bought them from Tawse even though the tyre was not one they could supply! GGGRRRRR

Laws fitted then without issue........

Having used them for years, I would have recommended Laws however they declined to fit some non supplied tyres for me recently. Saying that, it was AVON slicks to fairly delecate split rims - so I can understand to an extent.

Colin's in Dyce did it no bother, without fuss and for what I considered to be a decent price (£15 a wheel I think).

Cheers,

£15 a wheel!!!!!!! I'd be looking to get them all done for that!
Totally ridiculous rule, turning away revenue just because you didn't buy the tyres there, all you'd need is a simple disclaimer satating you accepted no responisibility.

Tawse refitted my new tyres to my alloys when i got them refurbed else where and iirc it was around 35-40 quid for the lot and they made a good job. Strange they would not have fitted your winter tyres? Maybe you should have said nothing about buying them else where and just asked if they could have fitted them for the winter.
