993RS rolling road results
Discussion
Car was put on rolling road today at the end of £14k of engine work after it going bang last year. Results were:-
329bhp @ 6170rpm
397nm @ 6040rpm
Car has a Roock kit fitted and was originally claimed to be putting out ~340bhp so not too bad and I'd imagine the engine will loosen up a bit after some more miles have been put on it.
For reference bog standard 3.8rs's on the same rolling road normally put out between 280 - 295 bhp.

Nice one Jim, I saw your car there on Saturday when I had my car on the rolling road, it looks great.
Thankfully after 57k miles mine it came in at 98.5% of reccomended power and 100% of quoted torque.
Not too bad considering when the engines are built the factory have a 5% margin either way to pass power tests.
problems with timing sliiping on 993 RS can bring the power down to 260 odd, which is not as uncommon as it should be!

Good question, yesterday was the first day I've been able to drive the car 'enthusiastically' and every time I put the foot down was worried that the engine was going to go pop again. In saying that the car drives and sounds far better than ever before and should give years of trouble free driving.
