The Annual Insurance Renewal Tango
Discussion
Yep, my insurance is up on the 5 on 9th November so I came back from hols today to find my renewal docs thru from Elephant - £303.65
Not too drastic what with all the talk of 40% increases, etc. but I thought it would still be worth running through a quote on Confused.com as well as the Elephant website.
Confused was coming up at £290, but Elephant themselves for a new quote were coming in at £264.80...then I remembered I hadn't updated my policy to include my new non-standard backbox and air filter fitted a few weeks ago, so added them and the total was now £284.75
So that's roughly £19 cheaper with 2 extra modifications declared.
Ring them up, and same as every year - they matched the quote.
Why do I have to do this every blummin year?!, you'd think they'd know i'm a shrewd (read tight) bugger and just offer me the best renewal to save all this hassle!
Still under £300, fully comp, protected ncb all mods declared isn't too bad - one of the (few) benefits of getting older
