What relay layout do you have? Is it like Jeff Morgan's on the other current lights thread (with the fuses below the relays) or do you have fuses behind the glovebox and relays below it, or some other incarnation?

As it's a 'D' plate car I'd guess at the latter, in which case it'd probably be like the 390SE layout. So you'll have more relays than you can shake a cuniform stick at wink

The lights seem to be staying lit which would tend to rule out the main lights switch and column dip/main switch. The pod motor fuses must be OK or the motors wouldn't lift. Ditto the motor earths. The control signal to both motors is paralleled; they're both working after a fashion so that must be OK. Odds-on it's a duff diode down by yer relays. Outside chance it's faulty switches in the pod motors themselves, but for both to fail at once...!!!

Thanks Ian (thought I would catch the late shift!)

Yes Fuses in glovebox and relays in passenger footwell (though nothing like your diagram!)

Will replace the diode (50 on ebay for a quid)

Sorry cunues but the head liht sequence is very good, shame you cant have that on a switch for the crusing down the street.

rofl glad someone else has the problem !! Had this a while back on a Lotus Esprit. It was a ground fault, one of the grounds had come out of the push in connector.Re-connected it and they worked normally.

Mine did that last year. I never found out what was wrong with them though. Now they just don't go up. Or down. It depend's on which way the wind is blowing...

Brilliant Show

Personally I think it would be better if you could
synchronise them and get them going up and down together. LOL

Cheers
