Boat Insurance
Discussion
Could any boat owners give me a recommendation for an insurance company that covers boats. My parents have just bought a 1936 41' Motor Cruiser. The current insurance policy has been transferred into their name and it lasts until august 2011. My Dad has been doing some digging on the web about the broker that the current policy is with and some of the boat forums have less than positive feedback about them. It seems like people take out policies with the company purely to have an insurance certificate to comply with conditions of entry for a marina.
Also, does anyone keep a boat at Upton-on-Severn marina? As that is where the boat will be for a while?

I use Stackhouse Poland (brokers) for specialist property, exotic car and boat insurance. 01483 407440 Mervyn Newell is the guy I speak with.
My boat is £287pa for a boat value of £55,000
That's good!My boat is £287pa for a boat value of £55,000
I pay £250 for my RIB which is valued at £30,000 and that's through my trade contacts!! And my boat is secured in my security guarded private yard with a cable that runs through the boat and engine that calls the police if it's broken.
