Afternoon All,

I am getting increasingly hacked off with the ever-falling quality and ever-rising prices of the food in our staff canteens.

It's not so bad when I'm in central London, but it's a complete pain in the backside when you're somewhere like Feltham or Portsmouth which means you'd have to get in the car and drive to get to an alternative, so I've decided to try making decent food to take in with me.

The challenge I'm facing is how I go about getting it there?

- I don't necessarily want to limit myself to cold food all the time.

- When I do want something chilled, I want it to stay that way.

- I want something compartmentalised so I can take multiple separate items.

- No Ben Ten, Hannah Montana or similar branding.

- Shouldn't be ludicrously large, and I really want everything in just one container overall.

Any suggestions?

That looks perfect, but unfortunately there's just too many reviews on Amazon and other places suggesting it won't keep food hot until lunchtime. frown

If I could find a hybrid of that and a proper thermos flask, it would be perfect!

A man's lunchbox. I have one of there flasks and it is amazingly good with a 25year guaranty! You can get them in the UK as well but this was the first link I found.

Is there an English lunch-sized one of those?

It looks good, but 7 litre capacity should feed a family of 4 for a weekend, not just me at lunchtime! hehe

Another vote for Stanley, an oustanding lunch/crib box when combined with a Stanley Flask which sits below the handle. I have had one of these sets for almost 20 years, nothing to beat them, absolutely perfect for taking lunch to a shoot.
I have not used it for hot food but find that it is excellent in the summer if you put a couple of ice packs in with the food.
