Robinson Crusoe, yep another Saturday morning favourite. Good find.

I've suddenly remembered Mary Mungo and Midge, plus the Hair Bair Bunch ( No No Mr Peebly) plus that bear.. Barnaby the bears my name, never call me Jack or Jane... now what was that?

I'm sure Robinson Crusoe was on every morning during the six week summer holidays. (It might have just seemed like that!)

For some reason I got the Robinson Crusoe music in my head yesterday.

So I then managed to find the entire series on YouTube.

Yes it was a favourite of mine when we were kids, I think it used to be played over the summer holidays on the TV, but I also think it used to be shown at the cinema when we had Saturday morning picture club, where we would get a film, a cartoon, and some other stuff, like Flash Gordon or Robinson Crusoe.

I binged watch almost all the episodes yesterday, it’s really very good, if some of the staged fights scenes are a bit wooden on the acting.

What struck me was just how good the music was, of course it brings back memories, but it’s also really good in its own right, it has a really magical quality too it.

Just wanted to share as a I really enjoyed reliving it again.

Raggy Dolls.

You only have to listen to the theme tune and it'll be stuck in your head for a week.

Talking Pictures (chan 81, freeview) are showing the marvellous 50s children’s adventure serials Robin Hood, William Tell, Sir Lancelot and Sir Francis Drake. A must for the more elderly amongst us.

Oh god yes!

We loved Daktari! ( try getting your iPad etc to autocorrect that!)

I think it’s where my love of Land Rover defenders came from!

I’m pretty sure I still have my dinky toys daktari set in the loft!

By coincidence I've just watched an episode of Catweazle on Sky and vaguely remember last seeing it in, err, 1970.

Think I need that time traveling spell.
