E39 540i sport alloys
Discussion
Hi guys, I purchased a 2001 E39 540iA Sport yesterday but I was wondering if you could help me with an alloy wheel question?
The car came with 18" M Parallel alloys but the size of the wheels all seem to be the same at 235, should the rears not be 265? I can't remember the other measurements, think 235/35, but as the car is still at the dealer having a service I want to rectify if they are not correct.
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance

Didn't seem to be - I've seen the original bill of sale. Have a look at it here:

It's not possible that a 235 could fit on a 265, is it?!

It's easily possible mate, but they would look stretched.http://www.jamespaul.co.uk/vehicle-details.asp?new...

Just whip off a rear wheel and check they're the real deal
EDIT - Just looked at the pictures. The wheels are legit but someone has fitted the wrong tyres.

Correct on all accounts guys, well spotted!
Clearly I will have to replace but as they are fairly new (earlier this year) it's rather annoying.
How dangerous is it? I could swap them onto the fronts, if they aren't too streeeeetched and get some new rears.
James Paul say that they see this fairly frequently but that it is not dangerous. They do however admit that it wouldn't have come out of the factory like that.

It'll be fine. You could get a 540i with 225s all round on Turbines IIRC (and I've been running mine on the same for the last few weeks) so you'll be fine.
But the turbines are not the same width as the rear Style 37's!Stunning looking car btw, but then I would say that
