The S Type is going
Discussion
After 90,000 nearly trouble free miles over 3 years my 56 plate 2.7 se TD Auto is being p/xd. I will really miss the old girl and would thoroughly recommend the S Type to anyone looking for a comfortable, relatively economical, well built reliable car capable of long distances with little effort.
I bought it on a whim and it has more than matched my expectations.
Have I bought anther Jag? I'm afraid not. I would really love to continue with Jag ownership but I live in a rural area and really need to get back to a 4wd estate. Especially if we are in for another relatively harsh winter.
The purpose of the posting? To publicly express my appreciation for my Jag as she and I sadly part company.

X-Type 4x4 Estate no good?Perhaps Jaguar will launch a big truck like the other biggies have. Though personally I hope not.

My 05 2.7D clicked over 90k yesterday.
Been trouble free except for both turbo's going 6 months ago which were repaired under an AA waranty.
Plan on keeping it at least another 12 months (to approx 120k). As the turbo's have been replaced, anything else that statistically can be a big expence due to high milage in this time?

If I remember correctly the 2.7 TD has chains rather than belts driving the cams. Don't they have to be replaced before 120K with lots of £s involved?Been trouble free except for both turbo's going 6 months ago which were repaired under an AA waranty.
