Australian version of Question Time
Discussion
called QandA was on last night with the ex-MP John Howard as a special edition.
It was quite refreshing to see questions being asked by all manner of members of the public but two things stood out which put it above normal Question Time.
Firstly there was the ability to twitter to the bottom section of the screen which provided some interesting comments from members of the public, and secondly there was a question from a hippy look alike about Wiki Leaks and the war in Iraq, when he didn't like the answer he got - he proceeded to respond to one of the tweets (don't know how he saw it) and took of his shoes and threw them at the ex-PM. He was then escorted from the studio.
The tweets then went wild hoping that the hippy had a long way to walk home in his bare feet.
A most enjoyable change.
I wonder if the Beeb could provide the Tweet function on QT ?

Okay forgot it was recorded.
Now if it was live it would be a more interesting show - it looked like the tweets were sensored (I saw no swearing) - however some funny tweets made it through - it was like watching a PH version of any TV show. As the program progresses the forum has updates on peoples dress sense, their taste and how wrong they were. Quite funny actually.
If nothing else - can we have the ability to throw our shoes at people we disagree with, assuming we can get a ticket to the show in the first place.
This is the hippy fella who walked home shoeless last night and his missus who also stormed out once he was escorted out of the studio.
