SEC 560 alarm -help

Hi there
Its my very first post ever so please please be understanding .Just yesterday I've bought sec 560 from 1987 and generally very pleased with it .But when tried to start today after opening door alarm went on and this is happening whenever I try to open door /start engine.After about 1 minute is fine .How to deactivate this .Will disconnecting battery work?There is no fob or any remonte or central locking on this car.Cheers

Is there any sort of immobiliser, ie does the car start ok even when the alarm is going off? If there's no immobiliser then just trace the siren and disconnect. It's prob just got some sort of dodgy, 80's after-market affair fitted with a hidden switch somewhere.

Thanks Chris but to my knowledge there is no immobilizer any kind cos car starts with alarm ringing.
Tried to disconnect siren but is hidden somewhere like under wipers (not in engine bay).Perhaps under dashboard.Had good look under bonnet with alarm on and can't find it.
