....are a bit of a disgrace to be fair.I have a 200 and the seats are threadbare cloth wolfrace thingy's. Where would I go to get a new set ( obv ebay , but no joy there ) or what fits in their place ?
On a side note I had to scrape ice of the windscreen this morning as I dropped the young fella to nursery. The winter is finally here. Those heaters are'nt up to much are they??? The landrover( v8 - i know i know , the right engine in the wrong car ) will be getting more use!

I have a set of 94 Miata seats in my 280i. Fit pretty nicely without much work for me. Used the stock 280i seat rails, removed the threaded stud and redrilled them for the miata stock housings. Had to use some washers as spacers to get the angle right as the miata seat bottom is steel and humped. Used some allen machine screws to bolt the seats to the rails. The LHD side fit perfectly (although the seat is slightly pushed to the center consul a bit as it touches the center consul) the RHD side was about a 1/2" off as the mounting points are 1/2" wider on the miata seat. Simply had to drill the mounting holes in the floor pan a little wider.

Daryl,
What colour are you after?

Ive just changed out my old blue seats for some fresher ones, the drivers seat has seen better days and the other drivers seat has a tiny rip in it, but it might be a stop gap for you until you can get some better ones!( I used both passenger seats in my car as they were in good condition)

P.S, how long have you had it and where are the pics???

( before Graham asks you!!! wink )

My mate Paul C in Mansfield (haven't seen him in ages, don't know if he even still has his wedge!) fitted ex-Rover seats (from a 200 series, funnily enough)... leather with all the electrics still fitted as I recall!
Most modern car seats are very short in the squab (front to back) so your thighs don't get much support.
Jag XJS seats MIGHT fit, but then again they might be too wide. Saw some on Ebay last weekend and thought they looked promising (but brown hurl ).

They're from the 'rounded' 200, Paul's were from the old Honda-shaped car I think.

Recaro seats from a cosi fit. That what i upgraded in my car but went throught the recovering bit aswell. Nice fit and a lot better than the old seats they hold you in in all the right places hehe
The rover seats look ok though.

Hallsie , crikey anything would be better than my current seats! How much would you want for them? You're in Kent right ? I'm not that far I guess, the mean streets of Sydenham.

Note how shallow the front of the seat has to be when looking at a replacement. Some of the bucket seats available are too thick. I've just sold my mistake.

the centres are cloth and the outsides are leatherette, one has a tiny rip in the bolster and the other one has quite a bad rip on the bolster / suede stitching, on both the seat and the upright.
They are dark blue on the leatherette and light blue suede on the middle parts.
