I'd have stuck with the Ka, personally.

My friend had an accident in her Land cruiser and the courtesy car given to her was the Ford Ka. The problem was she had the land cruiser because she has 4 children. So she couldn't do the school run. She was only asking for a 5 seater, not another 8 seater. I think she should have been entitled to something to fit her children in.

I would say that from a rental point of view a Corsa and a KA are in the same class. The insurance company will be happy to rent anything that they can charge to the other persons insurance. When someone drove in to my Volvo I had a Jag for two week, apparently it cost £4,000 a week no surprise that the rental company and my insurance company are linked!

Usually like for like equates to engine size being like for like rather than the size of the car etc, varies per insurer though.

What car do you normally have? (it says MGTF in your profile, but assume labrador/work bag arent' going in that)

I must say, Ford KAs are bloody brilliant. My old Lotus garage used to give them out as courtesy cars - they were so much fun. You can learn to drive in them all over again!

I would imagine there's very little difference in size between a Ka and a Corsa. If you were asking for an estate and got a Ka I would understand, but a dog could fit in a Ka.

Just seen...it's a scirocco (nice car, by the way). However, they're not really renowned for their boot space are they?"
