Young driver kit insurance
Discussion
My renewal is up soon....just had a ring round. Sureterm, footman James and heritage won't touch me because I'm 20.
I'm already insured on the fury with flux. Msm were helpful and I'm waiting for them to get back to me. So it looks like I only have 2 options come renewal which is a bit crap.
Anyone know of anymore insurers that will do under 21?

Aye b
ks I can name plenty of people older than me that would crash my fury within an hour of driving it.
Ahhh the confidence of youth.

Although I think you have a point regarding previous experience; there is also the 'sensibility factor' to consider.
Whilst I agree that your experience driving carts etc will undoubtedly make you faster than most of the guys you work with and me; there is also the point that for insurance considerations, old gits like me probably don't just get in and rag it. Statistically they are less likely to explore the limits and I reckon they wouldn't just crash within an hour.
Anyway Ryan, I reckon your new car is fantastic. And I can just get in and out of one unaided (ask Lee!). Almost makes me want one.

I let it warm up before I rag it Paul
I know, it's just irritating. I guess I can't expect insurance companies to look into each case in such detail. Would be too costly in time. Like I say, the insurance is cheap anyway in my opinion, it'd just be nice to have some quotes to compare. I think there's plenty of 21 and 25+ aged drivers less sensible than me though which is what I meant by older really, Plus less experience. You can potter around in a family car for as many years as you want but it isn't going to prepare you for driving a fast car, but apparently it does on paper. Of course 30/40 somethings will be more sensible... Or you'd hope so anyway! It's nothing to do with being faster, regarding the previous experience... More about car control. You barely need any driving a normal car.
Get one Paul!! There's more room in a Fury than a Phoenix, you know you want to!

Hi,
I don't know if they do under 21's but you could try Gylnwood.
That's who I'm with.
If you do a search on the Sylva chat list (google group) there are some different companies listed.
I think the year before it was Graham Sykes.
Cheers Dave, will give them a go. I can't seem to get on Sylva chat, said access was denied :/I don't know if they do under 21's but you could try Gylnwood.
