Latest tyre recommendations

So the Cerbera needs some new rear tyres. I'm running 18" Racelines and I wondered what the general latest best tyre choice is?
I tried the search but it seems not to be working.

I plan to use the car through the winter so a good all round (haha) choice is preferable rather than a dry only. Got Toyo T1-R's on the rear of the Chimaera but need to check they do 18" sizes. Also want to avoid Dunlop 9000's as I have those on the front of the Chimaera and I hate them. Cerb currently has Goodyear F1's on the front which I think are now discontinued.

I think there is a new tread pattern out for the Goodyear F1, now asymetric.

Toyo T1R seem OK on mine but 17" I think they do have an 18" that is the correct size.

I've got T1R on my spiders, but you'll struggle to find the rears atm - I've asked all my usual suppliers and all say Toyo have supply problems and there are none available in the UK for the foreseeable.... Bit of a bugger - I need a pair now-ish.

Toyo do have an 18" yes, I did check. Love them on the Chimaera. Typical about supply trouble though!

There are still some Eagle F1s lying around in the back of workshops. I was quite surprised when my tyre chap said he could get me a set for my S4 recently (admittedly 19"). Might be worth asking?

I had michelin sports on my cerb (18" SP12's) and loved them...did not run the car in the winter so cant offer any advice on that aspect.

Our TVRCC RO has just had goodyear F1's fitted to his tuscan and as far as I know he is happy with them?

Aren't Vredenstein (spelling..?) supposed to be doing a decent tyre now?

The place I use didn't have anything in my size in stock so nothing laying around.

Vredestien; looked at their website but it appears they only do up to 17", and quite high profiles.

Although I should say the fronts are not the asymmetric ones, I think they are the style before, they probably have a proper name but are like arrow type tread.

The Vredesteins are the Ultrac Sessantas. I have them in 255/35 on the rear of my Tuscan, currently with 235 F1 GSD3s on the front and they work really well together. They cost about 110 quid each from Camskill.

Run them all round on my 18" speedlines. You have to run a high sidewalled front though as they don't do the usual size for the Cerb.

Very progressive and predictable tyre from my experience.

As Pete says, i'm running the new F1's (the asymetric pattern) on my Tuscan and they are just as good as the old GSD3's in most conditions, but much more positive in the wet. They seam to be able to disperse standing water much better and don't 'pull' when you hit the puddles. I'll be getting anther set on mine when these wear out.

Just off to Guernsey for a few days so will get them sorted on my return. Sounds like the Goodyears are the way to go. Think I'll do a pricing exercise anyway though

Ok so I went for the Goodyear Eagle F1's to have the full set, although the new ones have a different tread pattern. Couple of heat cycles up to BTaP at the weekend and I should know how they feel.

Had them done at CJH Tyres in Havant, always go there as they are a great bunch, and cheaper than Micheldever without even haggling.
