Battery Replacement - Authorised Centre/Local Shop?
Discussion
I have a Raymond Weil Tango. The battery is dead. According the Raymond Weil's website the battery should be changed and the watch serviced only by SWICO, their authorised service centre.
Fine, except for the fact they want £86 + Cost of posting/insurance. They recommend this is done every two years, which is a bit steep when the watch only costs £500.
Does it really have to go there or can I take it to a local watch repairers? Any ideas?

Is the water resistance important to you?
If not, any High Street watch mender will be fine.
