Celica 1.8 oil dipstick tube/guide snapped
Discussion
Me mate has just asked a question and I thought someone on here will know more than me, not difficult.
He has a 1.8 Toyota Celica, latest shape.
When checking his oil the tube the dipstick is in has snapped, about 6" down, rusted through which seems odd in itself.
What is the crack with this? How easily would it be to replace? I'm guessing it's possible.
Or, could he neaten up what’s left and shorten the dipstick accordingly? I know it’ll be difficult to get it right in terms of checking levels.
Is it driveable or will oil just flood out straight away or only once hot?
