My first car - Mk4 Vauxhall Astra SXi
Discussion
Hey guys,
Relatively new here on the PH forums, just noticed this section, so I thought I'd show you what I'm running
It's a Mk4 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SXi, it's my first car as I only passed my test a little over a year ago.
I've not really done too much with it, aside from buying new suspension & alloys - but I'll let the pictures do the talking

(the sticker adds 5bhp :P )
Need to sort out the ding in the rear tailgate, that's been there since I got the car.
Other than than the exterior mods you see, I've not modified the car in any way other than a new head-unit with iPhone compatibility - awesome being able to hands-free call through it
Cheers for having a look folks

Cheers guys.
Fun cars to drive, but I can't help wishing it had more "oomph"!
Been thinking about smoothing them, but I kinda like em!

Looks tidy mate
I like these Mk4's with either colour coded or removed side strips, really enhances the look IMHO...
Cheers mate, I'm going to colour code the handles & re-spray the bump strips black to get a nice contrast.

Not really a big Vx fan but that's fairly tidy, insurance must be a bit of a killer with a 1.6 and a few mods?

At the moment it is because I'm still fairly new, but I get new quotes regularly and the price always seems to be falling

Then you need smaller wheels/more balls.

This is the lowness you need to be aiming for.
Have you considered colour coding the skirts? Its a b
h of a job to sand them smooth, but really enhances the look of the car I think. Here's a pic of mine from when I was 18, good cars. Get over to astra-sport forums and take a look. De-restricting the airbox is an easy mod that helps throttle response.

I've already de-restricted the air-box, t'was one of the first mods

I've been thinking about colour coding the skirts, but I kinda like them dark - it's a contrast
