The folks are looking at buing a 1996 volvo 440 diesel. Is there anything to look out for on this model?

Deadly serious.
She had one (petrol) a few years ago and loved it. She's not a petrolhead, she just wants something with 4/5 doors with ABS that she feels safe in. She liked her old Volvo.
