Did not see this until late this evening. Seems to be a spin off of the Independent.

Dunno if its a London paper (like Metro) or a nationwide one.

Only 20p so will look out for it tomorrow.

Seems one of the last new papers was Today (first full colour) and can anyone else remember the special edition of Spitting Image in Today o Vision ? (ie all out of sync with mis-matched/aligned colours)

And he only owned it for the first 4 months before it was bought by Lohnro, then to News International the following year (87) before closing in 1995.

Today and The Sunday sport both appeared in 1986 I think Today was first as it was hailed as the first colour newspaper.

Bought it a few times, it's not bad for 20p to be honest, definitely a cut above the metro with one or two interesting comment pieces that are worth reading.

Indecently last time I bought the full size Independent(nearly a year ago) it seemed to be entirely written by Johann Hari, (who sometimes writes for the Mail as well smile) who seems to have a slightly 6thformerish attitude to the world, but obviously has the work ethic of Trojan.

I think it's a last throws attempt to save the Independent. If they had realised that their paper was only worth 20p from the start, they might have survived.
