May I ask how you got that second shot, was it done with the camera or by Photoshop, if the former, how?
I'm a budding photographer who does it as a hobby
edit: looking at the site, is it just a longer exposure, and for the first shot a slightly larger aperture?

Via photoshop elements...
Make a new layer.
On the original layer, over saturate the colours, apply gaussian blur a little bit. Overlay the new layer, set for around 50% transparancy, to let the blurry image show through.
I was only playing, but loved the result.
Hope this helps,

that second picture is awseome.

I dislike it when that happens.
