so long story short.
im buying my first house and this means that my much loved M3 has to go. ( when i get round to doing the ad)
so i went looking for somthing around the 3K mark. had to be ph ish.
went out looking for somthing like an e36 or hot hatch of some sort or maybe even a classic. came back with this.

first job done clean and feed the stearing wheel came up quite nicely

now it needs some tidying ect but with near to a years MOT and 6 months tax i couldnt resist.
anyone no where i might get 2 center caps £117 each from bmw and that might not include the locks

found it at a dealer's in buckingham he had had it well over a year so i stole it for less than 3.5K
with tax. next on the list new bushes as it judders like mad when on the brakes. then it needs a good going over with the mop to tidy the paint. as far as i have can see its just got one little rust spot
on the boot lid.
other than that its just got lots of little niggely bits
dont think a good service would go a miss either

All credit to you (especially for getting the missus to agree). I'm impressed.
On a more serious note you shouldn't suffer any depreciation (as you say, you should turn a profit), I would imagine what you paid must be rock bottom for these cars; and that at the end of the day is the biggest cost of motoring.
At 120k it's just nicely run in too.
