Hello --

What's available, from who, and how much do they cost (USD)?

Thanks, men!

Luke.

Luke:

Contact Mike Fridmann of Micahel's Motorsports (www.MichaelsMotorsports.com) at (508) 651-1515. He has a Brembo upgrade, like the V8's and a Wilwood upgrade for your car.

I had the Wilwoods on my previous Esprit S4 and loved them.

Check out the pre-brembo kit on Lotus Esprit World's SE:

www.lotusespritworld.com/EMaintenance/brakes.html

PNM will ship to the states. Exchange rate isn't great at the mo, but a good kit for the price.

SJ Sportscars also do an AP kit for the pre-Brembo Esprits. More expensive at £1034 + 17.5% Vat. See the Updates page on LEW for an owner who's just fitted them.

Best option for you is the Wilwoods. opt for the post 2003 kits as they have dust seals. make sure you also don't get old stock.
This will be by far the best and most economical solution as they are based in US. They may even have a straight bolted on kit. Look for a 82-85 Toyota Supra 2.8i model and they should fit. otherwise check out any Lotus Specialists that have done their own kits.

Cheers,

I like the PNM kit. Is the SJ AP kit the same set up as on the V8 cars?

Lotus Prepared By Claudius quoted me $1695x2 for a full setup, and that's more than I want to spend.

Luke:

The SJ Sportscars AP set up is NOT the same as the Lotus AP brakes.

However the SJsportscars AP upgrade kit+braided hoses coupled with Ferodo DS3000 pads is stonking, especially when compared to the naff original setup.
