Modern Classic Insurance? (for a Vanquish)

Hi all,

Have my 360 on a modern classic, limited mileage policy with HWM at £650/pa, but it's with Hiscox who are apparently no longer insuring vehicles post 2001 on this policy.

They've quoted me £950/pa on the Vanquish, on a 'similar' policy but without the agreed value and one or two other little nice bits.

Heard the Locktons or Adrian Flux are quite good but contacted both and neither have got back to me yet, although I did contact them through their websites, so guess I'll call them tomorrow.

Anyone else worth a try - 34yrs, Clean DL, Full NCB, never any convictions (if it matters)

I have my MY09 V8V insured with Hagerty. I'm in the US, but I think they do business in the UK.

Their host underwriter is also Hiscox and only do pre 2002 - same as the above.

Try Nowell & Richards..they are a broker and they got a quote for me that was £200 cheaper than anyone else!

Called Adrian Flux - can't get anywhere near what my existing company quoted, unless I have a cat 1 alarm and a live tracker and even then can only get closer.
Without (as quoted by others) they are 50% more at £1500, with £700 excess on limited 5000 mls!!! ... Will try others!

Hi all, I am a Motor Underwriter at Hiscox.

Just to clarify some of the comments above, Hiscox do insure cars made after 2001 and continue to do so.

However, we have just become a carrier for Hagerty who no longer insure modern classics post 2001.

Locktons quoted £856, with £250 excess, breakdown cover and European cover, otherwise the same as the others.

Re Hiscox/Hagerty ... Stand corrected, it is Hagerty who is my current insurer, who no longer do my carryover policy.
