Hey up fellow ph'ers

Right basically me and my mates are massive sheffield united fans ( i know, we're unlucky to be brought up this way) this means we travel all over the country watching our team, from Newcastle down to Plymouth. We are sick of paying 40/50/60+ for train tickets, so have decided it might be worth spending some money on a decent spacious car that will make the journey to Norwich from Sheffield comfortably, and pass an mot with relative ease. We will all be chipping in on the cost of the car, we ideally want to spend £1k tops (absoloute maximum) probably nearer £700) on the car then the same on insurance.

The conditions;
- Cheapish to insure; ill be the main driver, currently 20, 21 in january ( should i wait?) 2 years no claims no points
- Would like an extra driver just incase i get silly tired, who would be better, 4 years driving, 21 with 3 points for speeding or a new driver, 22, teacher, no points?
- 7 seats would be lovely if possible but not a necessity, a 5 seater would surfice.
- cheap to buy, cheap to run and cheap to insure.

Cheers for any help, in all honesty don;t expect much as i think im asking alot.
