Glove compartment shelf thing

... across the front of the car. Anyone know how to remove it? I could do with running some cables behind it and under to the cigarette lighter & beyond.

There is space behind the shelf to push wires up from underneath - have a look up from the foot well and you will see what I mean

The centre console comes out by undoing a screw below the ashtray and one under the rear of the centre bit (under the air vent I think?)

Unfortunately, it's not just a wire I need to push through - it's a couple of powerbricks, etc. Thanks for the screw info, tho... will have a play shortly!
