Hoping for some advice. It's time to replace 2 of the tyres (Toyo 888s) on our trackday E36 325i. The other 2 are pretty worn but still have some life in them. What's best: put the new ones on the front or the back? I'd probably go for front if it was for the road, but wondered if track-work would suggest rears was the best place for new tyres seeing as it's a RWD car. Any gurus out there??

which do you do more of, understeer or oversteer? thats where the decent tyres should go IMO!

On my cerbera the front tyres wear a lot quicker than the rears on track, on the road it is the other way round, so I would put them on the front.

Thanks for the quick responses. They lead me in different directions! In answer to brillomaster we get more oversteer, in response to grahamn front wear could well be the case too - only the tyres get changed round a fair bit so relative wear is tricky to judge. I think we need to keep track better in future..
