In the U.K., you'd have to wait 14 days before pointing out the error. Otherwise they'd just issue a new, corrected, NIP, as has happened with a couple of 'stupid' NIPs (406MPH etc.) that reached the press.

It appears also that the issuing officer was confused about the day of the week on which the offence was committed. 23 June 1974 was a Sunday, the officer has ringed "M" - Streaky
