Anyone bought a "Vacuum Oil Extractor" to change their oil?
Discussion
Seems a great thing. No messing about under the car! Easy to use too it seems.

I see the benefit of using this if one was to accidently pour a bit too much oil after doing an oil change. But I wouldn't like to use it instead of removing the sump plug. The reason being, is I don't want all that gunk coming back through my engine. http://www.toolbuddy.co.uk/sealey-vacuum-oil--flui...
Quite a good idea though

On my VR6, the dipstick tube goes straight into the sump. All other cars I've worked on are of a similar design, so the worst that can happen is that the gunk sticks in the dip stick tube - in which case poke the dip stick back in and drain it the old fashioned way.Quite a good idea though
If I end up going back to an older car that I can service myself, I'll be definitely getting one of these.
