Anyone with the right contacts do a quick valuation on a car for us please?

03 Alhambra PD115 SE
Winter pack
Metallic
59k miles

Dealer History until 40k, then receipts
Cambelt at 44k

Very good condition overall.

So with £3600 worth or damage no fault applied this week what's the chance of repair/right off... Hmm...

insurance value up to 60% or so as viable for repair so yours will be scrapped with that amount of damage and they might offer you about £3500

Almost certainly a write off. Don't rely on these values for settlement though as the replacement value will be higher.

Beaten to it...

I would suggest that £3500 is way too low as a settlement. Get onto Autotrader and find similar age/spec/mileage cars to support a replacement price. Whilst the figures provided are the true valuation you are not in a position to purchase a vehicle at these prices.

Yeah already had a look on autotrader and similar age/spec/mileage is about 6k. Makes the 3600 repair more viable but I suspect not the figure the insurance companies base the right off value on.

Heard yesterday, it is being repaired.

Good news, didn't need the hassle and expense of replacing it!
